MISSION:
The South Coast Water Polo Club is a comprehensive, year-round program designed to teach water polo skills and fundamentals, as well as sportsmanship and enthusiasm to athletes of the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas.
HISTORY:
The South Coast Water Polo Club was founded in the summer of 1989 and is the 3rd oldest water polo club in California. It was founded by Craig Rond as a means to allow residents of the Conejo Valley and nearby communities the opportunity to learn, develop and compete in the sport of water polo in a fun and competitive atmosphere. We have worked hard to develop a family atmosphere where athletes are proud to represent both club and community.
To date, over 3,000 athletes have participated in the club. The club has produced dozens of collegiate water polo players, high school all-league members and high school All-Americans.
The club has traveled all over the country. It has won two golds medals and one silver at the San Diego County Cup Tournament as well as the silver and bronze koa bowls in Hawaii.
VISION
The South Coast Water Polo Club will produce good people who will be contributing members of society both in and out of the water by helping student-athletes see, reach, and achieve their greatest potential.
